Respect
We uphold the dignity and worth of every learner.

About St. Bruno
Since 1996, St. Bruno has opened pathways to dignified work for young people who face barriers to formal education and employment.
Our story
St. Bruno Vocational School – Kyabirukwa is a Church-based, not-for-profit institution under the leadership of the Sisters of Our Lady of Good Counsel.
The school was established in response to the growing number of vulnerable youth in Isingiro and neighbouring communities, particularly deaf learners, school dropouts, refugees and persons with physical disabilities who had limited access to education and employment.
Today, our learners come from Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They learn in a community shaped by respect, inclusion, integrity and compassion.
To equip marginalized young people with practical skills, values and confidence that support self-reliance, productive work and meaningful participation in community life.
Training is hands-on and connected to the job market. Alongside technical skills, learners receive life-skills education, entrepreneurship training, sign-language support, counselling and psychosocial care.
